MMA became popular with the help of the comparison-fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) of the earlx 90s, where techniques from different martial arts came into action. The fighters use blows and kicks from boxing, kickboxing as well as the Muay Thai, ground-combat techniques from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Hwal Moo Hapkido, wrestling and Judo.
